You are visiting the website of one of Hungary's most popular, historical and most challenging trail running race, called the "Mátrabérc". For 23 years, this competition has been the main event not only because of its magnitude, but because it is crossing trough Hungary's highest mountain the Mátra. Therefore it is giving the competitor lot of nice panoramic view of the mountains and valleys.
Every year there are hundreds of runners and trailers in our race, and as of now, the best time is 5 hours 22 minutes in the course. Every competitor who finishes inside the cut off time will receive a nice bag of goodies. The first 3 competitors (man and woman separately) will receive additional prizes.
At the day of the race, the average temperature usually between 5-10 Celsius at the start, with during the day temperatures estimated to be around 15-20 Celsius.
